Auchencairn Climate Transition

Where?

ACT was established in 2019 to respond to the Climate Emergency, address environmental damage and enable a transition to a more resilient and sustainable community. It manages several projects that support its aims:

an E- bike Scheme that provides access to E bikes for hire, with associated skills training and support; 2. A Bio Diversity Project, with tree planting and work with local schools on wildlife surveys etc.; 3. A Community Garden with Poly Tunnel resource and composting with volunteering opportunities ; 4. community events i.e. Art Exhibition; Craft sessions; Community Cinema, and, before Covid, local sessions with 'Bring and Buy' activity;
