Sanday Community Craft Hub provides a selling platform for artists and crafters on Sanday to sell their work primarily.
However in the last year we have been focusing on helping those artists and crafters to become more green.
We run workshops teaching art and Craft using waste products and items washed up on our beaches- buoy painting , driftwood art etc. Of which there are many. We have also employed an artist to make items out of rubbish to sell in the craft hub. He upcycles furniture that would have been discarded and repurposes old items. We do beach cleans and encourage others to join us. We would love to take the recycling further and get ideas of what more we can achieve.
We are based on Sanday in Orkney.
